An illustration inspired by a photo taken by a photographer called Joel Marklund at a black lives matters protest in Times Square. The image of the couple in this photograph was extremely powerful, so much energy in it that I really wanted to highlight through a different medium. Images depicting Black joy and love are so far and few between in the media and popular culture, its seen by many in the community as a revolutionary act it itself!
